How To Find Out Devices Connected To WiFi Network in Windows

If you aren’t already, you should be checking your WiFi network and all of the devices connected to WiFi Network every once in a while. It sounds like a technical task, but it’s actually way easier than you think.

It can be easy to fall into a pattern of connecting devices to your WiFi without a second thought, but when your WiFi begins to slow down, or if you’re worried about security, or even if you’re just doing some home computing improvements, you may want to know what devices are running on your network.

Find Out Devices Connected To WiFi Network

Ideally, it would be as simple as heading over to your router and checking the cables like you could back in the “good ole days”, but since everything is wireless these days, you’ll have to do a bit of digging.

1. Using Wireless Network Watcher

First of all in your Windows PC, download and install a cool software to scan devices at WiFi network which is Wireless Network Watcher. Once you installed, you will see screen like below.

Now connect to WiFi network in which you want to check connected devices to WiFi, launch software on your PC and click on “Start Scanning”

Once you clicked on Start Scanning, you need to wait for few seconds until it finishes search for your connected devices to WiFi Network

Now you will see, list of all devices with their IP address that currently being connected to your WiFi Network.

That’s it now you can check out owner of that IP address and can trace that person.

2. Using SoftPerfect WiFi Guard

SoftPerfect WiFi Guard will alert you if your network is used without your knowledge. WiFi Guard is a specialized network scanner that runs through your network at set intervals and reports immediately if it has found any new, unknown or unrecognized connected devices that could belong to an intruder.

First of all, you need to download and install SoftPerfect WiFi Guard on your computer and run it.

Now you need to go to File and then select option Settings

Now enable last three options

Now click on “Scan Now.”

If any unrecognized device connects with your WiFi network, it will notify you.
